Smells like COCONUT

There are so many benefits to playing with play dough, for both adults and children.

Develops Fine Motor Skills

Manipulating playdough by squeezing, rolling, and shaping it helps improve hand strength, dexterity, and coordination.

Encourages Creativity and Imagination

Children (and adults) can create an endless variety of shapes, animals, and objects, which fosters creativity and imaginative play.

Enhances Cognitive Development

Creating with playdough involves problem-solving, planning, and spatial awareness. These activities help to boost cognitive functions like concentration, memory, and logic.

Sensory Development

Playdough provides tactile sensory experiences, helping to stimulate the sense of touch. This can be especially beneficial for children in developing sensory processing skills.

Reduces Stress and Anxiety

The act of squishing, rolling, and moulding playdough can be therapeutic and calming. It’s a great way for individuals to relieve stress, practice mindfulness, and engage in a relaxing, non-competitive activity.

Hints and Tips:

  • Wash hands before use to help the longevity of your play dough. This will help prevent contamination from bacteria, dirt, or even food particles found on hands which will shorten your play doughs shelf life.
  • Make sure hands are dry so as to not make the play dough sticky, If at any point your play dough begins to feel sticky, sprinkle a small pinch of flour at a time onto your dough and knead well to combine.
  • Alternatively, if your playdough begins to get a little dry, or it hasn’t been stored properly, add a few drops of water at a time and knead well to combine.
  • Store out of direct sunlight to keep the colour and  texture consistent.
